Nodak Lodge

Nodak Lodge is a premier family, fishing and hunting resort located on the south shores of Lake Winnibigoshish in northern Minnesota's Chippewa National Forest. Open year-round, we offer both comfortable, modern cabins, motel rooms and a fully-equipped campground, as well as full fishing and boat service so you can easily explore Big Winnie's 140 miles of shoreline.

Do you have questions about fishing spots? Want to know a good place for a hike or picnic? The lake is our home – we're happy to answer your questions and share ideas to help you make your family’s northwoods trip a lasting memory.

Rich in Family History

The Kline family moved here from Streator, Illinois in 1953. The boys thought this was heaven on Earth, hunting, fishing and just being in the woods. Through many building projects, charter fishing & great hospitality, the resort flourished. Oldest son Bob Kline and his wife Sandy took over the business in 1982, raising their family and working hard to make it a place that people enjoyed coming to.  Since 1996, Bob's daughter Melissa and her husband Roger Croaker along with their 3 boys Tyler, Travis and Truman have run the resort - still making Nodak Lodge the place to come home to.

The future looks bright as the 4th generation prepares to run the family resort. The yearly returning of guests & friends is what really makes this possible, some spending a lifetime with us at Nodak Lodge...where families come for generations.

About the Area

Lake Winnibigoshish, fondly called "Winnie" by the locals, is located in the Chippewa National Forest and surrounded by hundreds of square miles of lush marshlands, gently rolling hills and diverse woodlands.  Comprised of 67,000 acres of pristine, clear, cool water, Lake Winnie is the fourth largest lake in Minnesota.

An angler's haven, Lake Winnie is the perfect location for your next fishing trip or family vacation with an abundance of walley, northern, muskie, perch, bass, crappie and more.
